The Mac Cuu tomb complex stands on the slope of Binh San Mountain in Ha Tien, holding the graves of Mac Cuu and his clan, the family credited with opening and building the Ha Tien region more than three centuries ago. A shrine sits at the foot of the hill while the tombs climb the slope in terraces, with Mac Cuu placed highest, ringed by stone walls and old trees. The tombs follow Chinese funerary architecture, with screen walls, stone figures and carved ornament. Binh San Mountain and the tombs were recognised as a national scenic site on 21 January 1989. From halfway up the slope the view opens over the town of Ha Tien and the bay beyond.
