The old quarter preserves almost intact its rows of tiled ancient houses, Chinese assembly halls, the Japanese Covered Bridge and traditional craft workshops. At night the whole town glows with lanterns and visitors float paper flowers on the Hoai River. It is one of the most beloved destinations in all of Vietnam.
